Royale is a Los Angeles based motion design studio. The company is run by Brien Holman, Jayson Whitmore and Jennifer Lucero who were originally working for Exopolis when they branched out and started Royale in 2007. Our very own Sam Castro worked with this team at Exopolis for 1.5 years before they started Royale. Brien, Jayson, and Jennifer collectively bring 20+ years of diverse knowledge and hands-on involvement in the advertising industry.
The featured work below is in 3 parts (Toyota 4-runner, Discovery's "Mythbusters", their 2010 Show Reel). They create impressive 3D environments around reel footage seamlessly to give a very surreal look to both the Toyota and Mythbusters spots. It is also very interesting how they combine hand drawn elements in 3D space with the footage. I had to include their 2010 show reel so everyone can see how bad ass they are!
Below is a Toyota 4-Runner campaign from 2010 with 3 unique endtags custom tailored to the rugged environments found in the spots - with plenty of dirt, and a nice smooth looking SUV.
This next one is from the Discovery Channels Mythbuster's Demolition derby special full of crashes and mayhem, combining hand drawn elements with footage, complete with a ripped up paper endpage.
