Founded by Andrew Ruhemann, Passion Pictures is a multiple Oscar winning independent Production company with offices and animation studios in London, Paris and New York.
Between Passion and sister companies Passion Raw and Strange Beast they represent over 60 directors and create both animation and live action content across a multitude of platforms, including commercials, shorts, features, promos, computer games, websites and live events.
Their 10 year collaboration with Gorillaz founders Jamie Hewlett and Damon Albarn have created world renowned results and their work for Compare the Market has created arguably one of advertising’s most memorable characters.
The Butterfly Effect is a short CG animated film Passion Pictures has made in partnership with Unity, the games engine developers using the new Unity 4.0 3D software. The film was written and directed by Dan Sumich and is a homage to the classic action films from the 1970s through to the 1990s, with a soundtrack by the legendary heavy metal vocalist Steve Grimmett.
